Havbe something ready in the interview, why you left Sample Company and why you had this gap. The HR guy will see there is a gap in your CV and ask about it if he likes (liek in 99% of the cases, since it's a rather long time)
If they look for a frontend developer, don't write about the shit you did in ruby in database programming too much, if you have frontend projects to show for, even when they are less complex :) (I am not super knowledgeable in IT/programming, so maybe this is compl,ete BS, but I hope you understand what I mean)īut ABSOLUTELY bring stuff about it to your interview, so you can show some deep knowledge if they ask about it. That the order is important, but I've read both that one should go "Personal Information, Work Experience, Education, Skills", but also "Personal Information, Education, Work Experience, Skills".īecause I don't believe in coming to a conversation empty handed, I've worked up a sample English CV in what I believe to be the German format based off of the same German CV at. I've read it is very important to follow the expected format, with a two column style with dates on the left and positions/education on the right. So I'm hoping maybe I can put together some resources, and I'll try to make this thread as generic as possible to be as useful as possible to people other than myself (though I'll be looking at things from the perspective of a Software Developer, because that's what I am). I've been able to find a bunch of German CV templates in German of course, but searching up "German CV in English" or the like mostly seems to get me stuff for Germans applying for jobs outside of German.
So, I'd read that if one has weak German skills (as I do), one should submit your CV written in English but still following the expected German formatting even for jobs advertised in English and which don't demand German skills.
